I have had a very busy week and I am very very tired. I am really thankful that its Friday. Its quite logical really, when someone came up with the calendar, they slotted the weekend in because they knew that people needed to rest besides the fact that God also told them to put in a day of rest. After further research, it gets attributed to Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés who ordered his men to burn the boat when they got to the battlefield.
I recently read that women do not get ahead in the workplace as much as men because they fail to self promote. And that got me wandering whether society has much to do with this. This is something I rarely like to admit but truth be told, society is generally patriarchal, men have the final say in the house, in the companies and in governments.
